FOSTER CARE
Fostering Our
Future
The Foster Care
Program offers services designed to provide a loving nurturing and safe
environment for children who have been removed from the custody of their parents
due to child abuse or neglect. The placement of the child may be temporary or
long-term depending on the biological parent’s ability to provide support
nurturance and supervision of their child.
Foster
Care Caseworkers are assigned to provide monthly in home support to the child
and the foster parents in the
form of making referrals for any special needs, educational concerns, medical
needs or issues that are influencing or affecting the child’s behavior or
development. Caseworkers plan services in collaboration with the child,
biological parents, foster parents and other involved parties. Reports are
submitted to the court to assist in determining permanent living arrangements
for the child. The goal for each child is to achieve permanency.
Stable, caring
foster parents are needed at Guardian Angel. We need homes for short-term
emergency care, as well as homes for children requiring long term and
adoptive placements. Professional supervision, support and financial
subsidies are provided to homes that meet State licensing requirements.
Guardian Angel
provides Foster Parent Licensing for those interested in becoming foster
parents. For further information contact the Foster Care Program..
